Once again, this video demonstrates how difficult it is to teach the guitar. Marty, I love your playing during the first 38 seconds. You're playing what comes naturally to you, and it really shows — you are talented! But then when you go into explaining what is it that you're doing there, it obviously is not possible. Not because you lack anything as a teacher, but because those things are not transferrable. Everyone should learn to find their own voice, and stop futile attempts at sounding like someone else. Still, thank you for doing this :)

Marty, I started out as an accordion player at age 7, traded it in for a set of drums at age 12 when the Beatles came around, and decided I wanted to learn to play guitar in my early 20's.

I have two problems: I don't seem to be able to pick up and down as much as i should, and I've never developed the use of my left hand pinky on the fretboard. I've always been a three fingered lead player (and a damned good one at that),but I know if I could develop my left pinky, I could be much better. Any tips for me?

I've been watching since day one of my guitar career and I've got to say you're a great teacher! I definitely learn something new and interesting every time. Great work Marty keep it up!
